This will be a little documentation of my past ‘project’ cars over the past 20 years. This interest started with my first car, a 1956 Chevrolet 6 cylinder/3-on-the-tree/overdrive/4 door project. My father lead me though buying and repairing it so I could drive to my first job in Kalamazoo. We overhauled the engine in the driveway. A full overhaul that included a valve job, bearings, rings and honing the cylinders. It was a great learning and bonding experience with my dad.

After I worked for a year I traded the 55 for a Chevrolet convertible. A 283/automatic that we found in Detroit. Not a hot car, but a ‘hot’ car in it’s day.

Second Car

Well, after this I got married and many cars have been owned since this photo from about 1964. Maybe I’ll add more to the blog about them. A 396 SS, VW Super Beatle convert, 59 VW, 124 Fiat Spiders, VW rabbit, etc.
